Insurance and public liability
Boutique Wine Tours holds public liability insurance, however, all tours are taken on the understanding that each individual passenger be responsible for their own well being and safety. We hold no liability if you choose to drive a vehicle after the tour completion.
It is strongly recommended that you purchase your personal travel insurance before you travel, no matter how short the vacation is, to ensure you are adequately covered for circumstances beyond your control e.g. cancelled/missed flights, strikes, weather conditions, sickness, including COVID symptoms, inability to travel, as full cancellation penalties will apply.
It is advisable to contact your insurance provider for the information on the policy that best suits your travel requirements.
Health and safety
Whilst travelling on board our vehicle, with the exception of bottled water, there is to be no consumption of food, chocolate, drinks, alcohol or smoking.
Seat belts must be worn at all times.
Please respect other passengers’ privacy by limiting the use of mobile phones to texting only whilst onboard vehicle and at the cellar doors.
Boutique Wine Tours encourages responsible drinking. If it is felt in the opinion of the driver that the comfort and safety of passengers is being compromised or if a passenger fails to take heed of the driver, the offending party shall no longer participate on the tour. They will be dropped off at a safe location and Boutique Wine Tours will arrange a taxi, at the passenger’s own personal cost, to return them to their accommodation.
Tour variations/cancellations
Tour variations may occur due to extreme weather conditions, vineyard closures, last minute changes received from vineyards or traffic disruptions.
If any of these circumstances should arise, Boutique Wine Tours will revise the itinerary to impact as little as possible of the remainder of the tour.
Cancellation penalties
For ALL bookings made with Boutique Wine Tours Tasmania the following penalties apply:
- For ALL scheduled tour cancellations a 25% administration fee will be charged on total tour amount.
- For ALL scheduled tour cancellations between 2–14 days, 50% cancellation penalty applies on total tour amount.
- For ALL scheduled tour cancellations with less than 48 hours notice or “no show”, 100% cancellation penalty applies on total tour amount.
- For the cancellation of Charter services, 100% a cancellation penalty applies irrespective of when the booking was made. A credit will be offered for use at an alternative future date.
General terms
For all solo travellers, we strongly recommend that you contact Boutique Wine Tours Tasmania (phone 0415 387 887) directly to make your booking, as minimum numbers apply. A 25% of tour price administration fee will be charged if minimum passenger tour numbers (2) has not been met and we are required to refund your booking. The option of paying for an extra seat will ensure that your tour will go ahead.
A minimum of two passengers is required for tour to proceed.
Children over the age of 12 may join a tour at adult prices at the discretion of management.
There is a maximum of 13 passengers per vehicle.
All prices quoted are in Australian dollars and include GST.
All tours are escorted by an experienced host.
Proof of age may be requested at the discretion of wineries.
Gift certificates
You may choose any of our tours to redeem your gift certificate (and you can be upgraded to more expensive tour on payment of the difference).
Gift certificates are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
Redemption of gift certificates is subject to tour availability (which may be affected due to vineyard closures, private bookings, etc).
Redemption bookings must be made at least two weeks prior to the required travel date.
No refunds or part refunds are available for gift certificates.
No date extensions are available for gift certificates.
